Description
80 km from Santiago, in Tiltil, more than half of the inhabitants have no water. "If the truck didn't come, I wouldn't have any water to give to my animals," says Luz Rojas, a native of this Chilean town marked by drought and overexploitation of water. The current constitution, adopted under the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet (1973-1990), privatised water through the state handing out concessions in perpetuity. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
