Description
The Ethiopian calendar is seven to eight years behind the Gregorian calendar, according to the Coptic calendar. On September 11, Ethiopians celebrate their new year. Usually, cattle, sheep, goat, and chicken traders see the most significant profits around the holidays. It is Ethiopian custom to make the new year holiday celebration as enjoyable as possible. However, on the eve of the new year, the price of the goods has increased because of the rising inflation, and customers blame the ongoing civil war in the country. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
