Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrives in Damascus for an official visit and meets with Syria's Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad. During a joint press conference, Mekdad insists that it is "not possible to talk about establishing normal relations without ending the occupation, without ending terrorism," after a top aide to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said a new Turkish ground offensive in Syria is "possible any time", despite a Moscow-brokered rapprochement between Damascus and Ankara.
