Description
During a hearing at the International Court of Justice, Armenia accuses its bitter rival Azerbaijan of "strangling" ethnic Armenians by blockading the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. Armenia's representative asks the UN's highest court to intervene to stop "blatant acts of ethnic cleansing". Since mid-December, a group of Azerbaijanis has been blocking the only road into the dispute region, in protest over what they claim is illegal mining causing environmental damage.
