Pakistan's former president Pervez Musharraf, who left a controversial legacy in his country and who had become an ally of the United States in the fight against Al Qaeda, was buried on Tuesday in Karachi, far from the cameras, in front of a crowd composed mainly of military personnel. The funeral, which was not attended by President Arif Alvi or Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was not officially announced by the government or the army and was not broadcast on television.
