The Ivanivske cemetery in Ukraine's eastern city of Kramatorsk, in the Donetsk region, has an area dedicated to soldiers who have died since the start of the war against Russian forces on February 24, 2022. A dozen graves lie in an open field under Ukrainian flags fluttering in the freezing wind. The municipal cemetery is not only dedicated to fallen soldiers, it also contains regular graves, graves for unidentified people, for people with no official documents, or for people with no family.
