"She didn't want to shy away. We did not ask for a closed hearing," said Jean-Marc Descoubes, lawyer for Laura Prioul, who accuses Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred of beating and raping her in a Paris hotel room in 2016. The trial opened Monday in the French capital and is expected to run until Friday.
