Volunteer Mohammed Alaa al-Jalil tends to cats rescued from the rubble of destroyed buildings in Jandairis, in the rebel-held Syrian province of Aleppo. Every day, Al-Jalil travels some 100 kilometres to Jandairis, among the towns worst affected by the recent deadly earthquake in Syria, in search of kittens and puppies to rescue.
