In the Ukrainian trenches at the frontline in the eastern Donetsk region, the ongoing battle for the symbolic city of Bakhmut is on every soldier's lips. The eastern Ukrainian city has been badly destroyed during the longest and bloodiest battle since Russia's more than year-long invasion, and there have been reports that Kyiv was withdrawing from the city. "I think it (ed: Bakhmut) will withstand," a Ukrainian soldier with the call sign "Trainer" says, but "even if not, many Russian soldiers will die there.
