"What am I risking by doing graffiti?" "What happens if I don't have my papers?" These are just some of the questions from teenagers being answered, on TikTok, by a young Chechen and a policeman in Austria. The pair -- "Cop & Che" -- are creating a buzz on the Chinese social platform with their regular short videos, which have already been viewed more than 2.6 million times. This is a considerable figure in a country of just 9.1 million inhabitants. With its relatively small population, Austria hosts one of the largest per capita Chechen diaspora communities in Europe, with 35,000 people. "I had a lot of problems with the police" says Ahmad, "Che", "but I had no one I could ask what I was allowed to do... or where I could get legal advice".
