Description
Cervical cancer is one of the most treatable cancers in the world, but every year 330,000 women still die from the disease, 90% of them in low-income countries, because they are not diagnosed in time. Rwanda is trying to reverse the trend by investing in prevention, diagnosis and vaccination. With the help of NGOs such as UNITAID, the country has access to new, less expensive and easily used treatment methods. All these factors combined means that Rwanda could be the first African country to eliminate cervical cancer. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
