Zuhair Hassoun, the custodian of the UNESCO-listed Fortress of Saladin in Syria, examines worrying cracks in the Crusader-era castle that was badly damaged by last month's deadly earthquake. Around 40 heritage sites have been damaged across the country, according to the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums, in the February 6 tremor that killed more than 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria.
