Description
Stockshot of the SOMAÏR mine (Société des mines de l'Aïr) where several uranium deposits have been mined since 1968. Uranium is mined in pits - where several layers of land are first removed to access the deep buried ore. Once extracted, the ore is transported processing in order to be concentrated into a finished product called "yellowcake". STOCKSHOTS
