Taiwan officials say all Taiwanese ships should reject any board and inspection request from the Chinese Coast Guard after China announced a special joint patrol and inspection operation in the Taiwan Strait in retaliation to a meeting between President Tsai Ing-wen and US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in California.
