The president of Mediaset, Fedele Confalonieri and Paolo Berlusconi, Silvio's brother, visit the former prime minister at the San Raffaele hospital. Confalonieri, pressed by journalists, says: "Silvio is better than before." Italian former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has vowed on to survive another stint in hospital, as the 86-year-old media mogul is showing signs of improvement following treatment for leukaemia and a lung infection.
