"All this debate on this subject from different angles could push legislators and politicians in our country to reconsider several laws especially those concerning the protection of minors," says Mohamed Sebbar, the lawyer for a 12-year-old Moroccan girl whose rapists received light sentences that outraged the country. Sebbar's comments came after a presser in Casablanca on the eve of an appeal hearing by the victim after a court sentenced one of the girl's three attackers to two years in prison, and the others to 18 months each.
