King Charles and his son William, Prince of Wales, visit the crowd camping along the Mall, near Buckingham Palace, ahead of the coronation. "We heard the screams, and he got out of the car" says Kate Major, one of those waiting on the eve of the event, "he came along and literally shook hands with everyone".
