Description
Seeking a path out of the Gaza Strip's grinding poverty, resourceful Gazans took matters into their own hands by creating work to overcome the dire prospects. Islam Abu Taima combs market alleyways for scraps of cardboard, hoping to transform the castoffs into sellable toys, while Alaa and Salama Badwane have transformed their rooftop into a small plant nursery.
