Tourists visit the island of Djerba, two days after a deadly attack outside a synagogue. Tunisian President Kais Saied said his country, an important tourist destination, remained "safe". The attack comes at a time when tourism is making a strong recovery in Tunisia, with more than 2 million arrivals since the beginning of the year, after a sharp slowdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.
