Amnesty International welcomes the UN report accusing the Malian army and "foreign" fighters of having executed at least 500 people in March 2022 during an anti-jihadi operation in Moura in central Mali. "The Moura incident is the most violent case against civilians since the beginning of this conflict," notes Ousmane Diallo, a researcher at Amnesty’s regional office in Dakar, adding that "the Moura incident potentially involves war crimes and crimes against humanity."
