Lawyers for Nicolas Sarkozy, for his long-time lawyer Thierry Herzog and for former senior magistrate Gilbert Azibert announce that they are appealing to the Court of Cassation following the Paris Court of Appeal's ruling in the wiretapping case. The former French president's lawyer, Jacqueline Laffont, denounced a "staggering" decision adding: "We will not give up this fight, which is a just fight in the face of a particularly iniquitous and unjust decision".
