The White House calls on Americans with health issues to take proper precautions to protect themselves from air pollution blanketing the US East Coast, a result of raging wildfires in Canada. "We encourage everyone in the impacted areas to listen to their state and local officials," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tells reporters during a press briefing. She also comments on a PRIDE event to be held at the White House, saying that "We also need to make sure that we let the community know that the president has their back."
