The shattered Ukrainian coal town of Vugledar looks abandoned and all but ruined as volunteer chaplain Oleg Tkachenko's armoured van pulls up. But a simple toot of the horn sees surviving citizens emerge from the clusters of their housing blocks. "You can survive everything,(...) the absence of water, gas, electricity, you can go through it all, as long as there is no shelling. This is the scariest.
