Description
Oleg Orlov, co-chair of the human rights group Memorial, goes on trial in Moscow over criticism of Russia's Ukraine campaign, which could see him jailed for up to five years. "I do not plead guilty in any way... I'm being tried for publicly expressing critical opinions" Orlov tells AFP after his court session, in which he held up a book titled "The End of the Regime" by Alexander Baunov, written on the fall of European dictatorships. Speaking outside Moscow's Golovinsky District Court, Orlov's fellow Memorial co-chair, Yan Rachinsky, says "the most ridiculous thing about this case is that it even began." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
