Description
With just over a year to go before the Olympic Games, the impact of this global event is being felt in Seine-Saint-Denis near Paris, where a number of local contractors have been awarded the contract to manufacture the seats for the new Olympic swimming pool, built for the occasion. Rather than using new, which consumes more energy, the 11,000 folding seats in the Arena at Porte de la Chapelle in Paris and the Olympic aquatic centre in Saint-Denis, on the other side of the ring road, will be made from recycled plastic.
