NATO-led peacekeepers patrol north Kosovo from its headquarters in Pristina, in a bid to show its determination to keep patrolling flashpoint northern towns after riots there that wounded dozens of its troops. KFOR personnel are conducting regular monitoring operations in Mitrovica, an ethnic Serb-majority city in the north, where its intervention to keep Serbs and ethnic Albanians apart during riots resulted in 38 KFOR injured officers, as well as in the surrounding region.
