Description
In Moscow-controlled Mariupol's main football stadium, stickers of the local Ukrainian team are still visible, but now armed ultras from Russia patrol the stands. These die-hard fans, fans of several Russian clubs, formed the 'Espanola' fighting unit, which trains on the wild beaches of the Azov Sea. According to its members, 'Espanola' numbers around 600. "We are different from the contracted and mobilised (army) in that we know who we stand shoulder to shoulder with" says 'Pitbull', a Zenit St Petersburg ultra and the unit's leader.
