Description
After some 40 boats paraded along an empty Seine as a taster of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, chief organiser Tony Estanguet declares, "the priority was to clarify navigation speeds, passage times and spacing between boats." Meanwhile, French Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra clarifies that "30 of the 91 boats will be parading for the athletes on the day", while another 30 will be used "to meet ecological commitments".
