Description
Odesa's Transfiguration Cathedral, under UNESCO protection, is left badly damaged after Russia's latest missile attack on the southern port city. "The cathedral is very badly damaged inside" says Father Myroslav, the site's assistant rector, "all the decorations are practically destroyed". Russia has been carrying out strikes on Odesa since quitting the Black Sea grain deal. Kyiv has vowed to retaliate for the latest bombardment, which came just hours before Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Moscow.
