Description
Mexico has taken a step closer to its first female president, after the ruling party and opposition chose women to lead their campaigns for next year's election. Around 10 women are murdered every day in the Latin American country, while deep-rooted stereotypes can be obstacles to their career progression too. A far cry from the capital's National Palace, 32-year-old plumber Berenice Aparicio and 30-year-old carpenter Mallory Knox have faced similar challenges in their personal and professional lives, but their views differ on the prospect of Mexico's first female president.
