Description
Better for the machinery, better for the picker... and better for the rosé: in Marcillac in France's south-west wine growing region, the harvest is being carried out at night to keep the grapes cool, a practice that is becoming more widespread in the face of global warming. 'We've been harvesting the whites and rosés at night for fifteen years now. Maybe one day we'll do the reds too. In any case, it's clear that climate change is here to stay,' says Stéphane Héraud president of the Vignerons de Tutiac cooperative. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
