The world-famous dog Lassie came to ride in the Coronado parade, and while she was here, we asked Gramps (George Cleveland) if she could do any tricks. Well, Lassie was busy eating, so our cameraman stood by. Lassie is quite the lady…very good table manners…hmm, just what she ordered. Her trainer, Charles Weatherwax came along with her and afterward showed what she could do. The Life magazine photographer took advantage of the outing to get a few shots.
