Pro-Palestinian protesters gather in New York, two days after Hamas' surprise attack on Israel, sharing their thoughts on the escalation in the conflict. "It's a wonder that it hasn't happened before, they've been attacking and oppressing Palestinians for the last 50 years," says retiree Ray Gordon, while PhD student Maryam Alaniz says, "I don't think civilian casualties are justified, but I'm also not a pacifist and I know that this situation comes out of systematic problems."
