About 500 people gather outside the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, to show their support for Israel after an attack by Hamas militants left 1,200 dead, with around 150 people being taken hostage, according to the Israeli government. "We were all surprised by the organisation...by the savagery" says Nicolas Lang, one of those at the rally. Five days on from the unprecedented attack, which saw Hamas gunmen cross into Israel by air and sea before opening fire on civilians, Israel has continued bombarding targets in the Gaza Strip, where health officials have reported 1,055 deaths.
