Description
A two-year-old condor, undergoing training to readapt to life in the wild at the Chilean Center for the Rehabilitation of Birds of Prey (CRAR), will soon be released in the Andes. Bety arrived from Poland very tame, used to humans, but in just six weeks she has shown progress. "Bety's behavior is very different from when she arrived. She no longer accepts humans, she runs away, she is afraid of them, and she interacts well with the other condors," explains Eduardo Pavez, director of the Manku condor reintroduction project and founder of CRAR.
