Thousands of people gather in Istanbul's Maltepe Square to attend a rally in support of Palestinians and protesting the Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip in response to last week's bloody attack on Israel by Hamas. The rally is the first massive pro-Palestinian protest ever organised by a Turkish political party represented at the Turkish parliament.
