A march from Rome's Capitoline Hill to the Jewish ghetto marked the anniversary of the roundup on 16 October 1943, when the Nazis, with the help of the Italian Fascist regime, rounded up some 1,2000 Jews and sent them to death camps. Only 16 of the deportees survived the Nazi death camps. IMAGES
