Tens of thousands of protesters rally across Egypt, with large crowds flooding into Cairo's iconic Tahrir Square, in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza amid Israel's aerial bombing campaign that has so far killed over 4,000 people in the impoverished enclave, the majority civilians, according to the health ministry in the Strip. The campaign comes in response to an October 7 attack that saw Hamas militants infiltrate into southern Israel by land, air and sea, killing 1,400 people, mostly civilians on the day of the attack, according to Israeli officials.
