Thousands of people, many dressed in eccentric costumes inspired by the world of manga or games, gathered in Stockholm this Friday for the opening of Nordics Comic Con, the largest event dedicated to pop and digital culture in the Nordic countries. "You don't feel like a freak or something, you can like to dress up," says 18-year-old Jamie Wiberg, who was dressed as a character from the video game Resident Evil 4. "Gamers tend not to have that many events to go to and be social, so it's very important to get that real life connection," points out Spectra, another visitor.
