Description
Four and a half years after being seriously injured by French riot police on 23 March 2019 in Nice, 73-year-old pressure group Attac activist Genevieve Legay looks back at the violent police charge from which she emerged with several broken ribs and a fractured skull. At the time, the images of the grey-haired demonstrator, standing with a rainbow peace flag in her hand, then lying motionless on the ground, surrounded by police, caused a stir. The trial before the Lyon magistrates' court of the commissioner who ordered the police charge has been postponed until 11 January 2024.
