French police are evacuating migrants from Loon-Plage near Dunkirk in northern France, mobilising buses to take them to emergency shelters away from the coast. "We are going to have several days and probably several weeks of very cold weather, so living conditions in the camps are extremely precarious," says François-Xavier Bieuville, sub-prefect of Dunkirk, who visited the site.
