Description
Considered one of the most significant archaeological museums in Egypt, the Imhotep Museum, in the Saqqara necropolis complex, reopens its doors after renovation. The museum boasts more than "300 artefacts" from ancien Egypt, says his director, Mohamed Youssef. The highlight for him is the mummy of king Merenre, "the oldest royal mummy in History", dating back to the 6th dynasty." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
