Description
Palestinian paramedics load the injured body of 36-year-old Fouad Abahera into an ambulance after he was shot during an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. The paramedics then try to identify the man to Israeli soldiers so they can take him to hospital.
A medic explains: "We can't evacuate any wounded without an ID number, ID copy, or ID card."
The Palestinian health ministry later reported that Abahera died from his wounds, blaming his death on the delay in receiving treatment.
The Israeli army did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the allegations that victims were prevented from accessing treatment. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
