The protesters outside the venue criticise the event for having "British investors pouring money into a state that's engaged in apartheid," with one reporting that several RSA staff members walked out in tears, having not been told what the event was. The war now in its third month, began after the October 7 attacks on Israel by Palestinian militant group Hamas that Israeli officials say killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians.
