'Creches, like all establishments that care for children, are sanctuaries,' says French Minister for Solidarity and Family, Aurore Berge, visiting a creche near Paris, where a man broke in and threatened its director with a knife. According to prosecutors, the assailant threatened to rape the director and made anti-Semitic remarks.
