FILE PHOTOS of US-born actor David Soul, the icon of the 1970s for his role as Detective Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchinson in the classic crime series "Starsky & Hutch," as his family announced his death Friday. "David Soul -- beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother -- died yesterday after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family," his wife Helen Snell said in a statement.
