"On est là juste pour défendre notre avenir," assure Olivier Varlet, "We're here to defend our future (...) we'll stay as long as it takes" French farmers in the southwest department of Oise continue to block A16 motorway. They call for the Prime Minister to take measures to help them make a living and stay competitive with other European countries they say are not subjected to the same standards. Police were present but did not interfere.
