Although Atlantic storms regularly sweep through Spain they always seem to peter out before reaching Catalonia, which is experiencing its worst drought in living memory and may soon have to restrict water use. "You can't wash dishes, you can't wash clothes, I'm not even going to say washing machine, man... Nothing," grumbles Alex Fonseca, filling up several jerrycans to cover his household use in the village of Vallirana.
