Description
Hosting the Africa Cup of Nations has brought big business to Ivory Coast, no more so than in Abidjan, the country's economic capital. Gaoussou Traore has been running his company that makes and sells football shirts for over 10 years. In his small shop in downtown Abidjan, he has eight employees working around the clock to keep up with demand during the AFCON. The majority of the shirts he sells are Ivorian, so Traore admits he's worried about the Elephants being knocked out. "It won't be good for our business," he tells AFP. One of the young men working for him disagrees. "We have Mali, we have Guinea, we have other shirts, so we'll still be able to sell them," he says. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
