Police and gendarmerie vehicles, including armored vehicles, set up at one of the main entrances to the Rungis market, just as the main farmers' unions had announced their intention to lead a "siege of the capital for an indefinite period". On Sunday, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin asked police officers to set up "a major defensive operation" to prevent farmers "from entering Paris". IMAGES
